Just a little note of support

Hi my friends, I hope  those of you today that are putting up a fight with Breast Cancer are feeling love, strength, courage and hope and are determined that the battle you're fighting is going to be successful, that you are going to be a survivor.   I just want to say that we here at Link Up for Pink are supporting you all the way.  So I made a card today, simple, pretty, and just for you with a little message.

The sketch was made by JustYolie, our Link Up for Pink girl that keeps all of us in tow and does such a wonderful job.  You need to read how LUFP got its beginning with Yolie.  Now LUFP is on the second year and you'll understand how loving and thoughtful they are.  It was just a blog like yours and mine and it just grew and grew and grew......

I hope my card brought you some inspiration.

Join us in Challenge #5, Link Up for Pink  now going on and post your cards to support Breast Cancer Awareness.  We have some Awesome Sponsors with some really fantastic prizes.  Check it out, join us and maybe you'll be the next big winner!!!!  Good luck to all that participate.

Hanging On By A Thread

Cancer is a very scary thing, I know, I am stating the obvious.

When I was first diagnosed I had to go through a battery of tests to make sure the cancer had not spread. Xray's, ultrasounds, bone scans. Waiting for the results each time was unnerving, and the minutes seemed like hours. I remember not wanting to be alone, feeling like I couldn't make it through without someone else. I literally felt like I was hanging on by the tiniest of threads.

Support through this difficult time is so important.

That is my inspiration for todays card.

Supplies used: cardstock - white, kraft; patterned paper - LUFP; washi tape - We R Memory Keepers; ribbon, floss, bakers twine - LUFP; stamp - By A Thread itty bitty stamps by Unity; ink - Momento; chipboard buttons - my stash.

Sponsor Spotlight - i {heart} papers

Our sponsor spotlight today is i {heart} papers:

I am Kate, and I {heart} papers.  Really, I do.  I love paper and all things papercrafting.  Personally I could spend hours (and have!) just meandering through aisles upon aisles of papercrafting supplies and tools.  Feeling the papers, running my fingers through bins of loose brads and eyelets, rubbing the luscious rolls of ribbons…I’ve done it …and I enjoy doing it!  For me, papercrafting is a passion.  I love to watch paper transform into a treasured keepsake that will be cherished for generations.  I love knowing my handmade card will brighten someone’s day and lift their spirits.

I’ve been a crafter for as long as I can remember.  My Gram was an avid seamstress who taught me early on to sew, embroider, needlepoint, petitpoint and cross-stitch.  As a very young child I made plastic canvas and yarn Christmas ornaments, coasters and construction paper cards.  I proudly gifted them to my friends and family.  In high school I attended my first stamping home party (at the home of my friend’s mother) and immediately fell in love.  But, being a high school student, I could only afford to purchase a catalog.  I spent many hours thumbing through the pages, dissecting the pictures and trying to figure out how they did it.  I still have that very well-loved catalog.
A little later in life, I finally could afford some stamping supplies and was re-introduced to rubber stamping and scrapbooking by my same old high school friend (whose mother hosted that first workshop).  I got an updated catalog (still have that one too!), dove head in and went on to have a successful little business as a direct sales representative.  I cherish that experience and am grateful that it helped to make me the papercrafter I am today, but it also made me realize that no one company can make all the products a crafter needs. As I transitioned from home parties towards selling my creations independently, I decided that I needed an easier way to share the plethora of products I love and the creations I make with them.  From there, i {heart} papers was born.
I’ve assembled some of my closest friends (and best crafters) to help me on my journey and to help you as well.  We’re all papercrafters and we all want the same thing – amazing products at a great price with fast shipping and stellar customer service.  I hope we can serve you well!

Sponsor Spotlight - KaiserCraft

We are back with another Sponsor Spotlight with KaiserCraft:
Kaisercraft is an Australian owned craft and scrapbooking products manufacturer & wholesale supplier to craft retailers around the world. We're based in Geelong, Victoria (about 1 hour south-west of Melbourne) and have a passionate and experienced team and a practical understanding of our clients and their customers needs, we integrate product development, design and customer service to bring fresh ideas to the scrapbooking and craft industry.

The Kaisercraft Story

Around 20 years ago while operating a joinery business, Stephen Kaiser was asked by his wife to manufacture some small wood products to sell in her craft store. Seeing a niche opportunity, Stephen soon expanded to manufacturing plastic stencils and added other products such as acrylic paint to the company's core range. Before long, word spread, and the Kaisercraft brand was soon in demand among craft stores Australia wide.
In 2005 a deliberate paradigm shift saw Kaisercraft develop its scrapbooking range and concentrate on developing business with independent retailers. The shift was extremely successful and Kaisercraft quickly became a quality brand loved across Australia.
From its early days
the company has concentrated on supplying customers and consumers with the highest level of service. Today, still owned by the Kaiser family, Kaisercraft continues to work with its loyal independent retailers to provide craft products to consumers around the world. The company continues its tradition of leadership, innovative design and product development. Look out for more new product releases and project ideas.
