Sponsor Spotlight: A-Manda Creation

We have another Sponsor Spotlight for you today!  A-Manda Creation!

My name is Amanda Wittenborn and I have been scrapbooking as long as I can remember. But it became a greater passion of mine when my first son was born. I was having a hard time keeping up with all the pictures and then I found digital scrapbooking and have been hooked ever since! I started designing digital kit in January 2011 as a way to help scrap my own personal photos when I couldn’t find just the right kit. So you will find most of my kits mimic what is happening in my children’s lives!

Sponsor Spotlight - Designs On Cloud 9 + Giveaway

Another Sponsor Spotlight day!!  Today we introduce to you Designs on Cloud 9, here's a little bit about Michelle, shop owner:

I have loved arts and crafts ever since I first could finger paint. I always loved taking art classes in school and had extra crafty projects in the works at home. I started scrapbooking in 1996 and haven't stopped since. I started selling my creations on Ebay in 2001 and in 2007 I realized a dream and opened my very own scrapbook store! I closed my store to relocate, but continued to sell online. When I was introduced to paper piecing, my scrapbooking was taken to a whole new level. I just love making the piecings and the joy they add to my layouts. Now I am drawing my very own patterns and love it! I hope you will enjoy creating with my cutting files as much as I have loved drawing them. Each one is hand-drawn by me. I do not use any kind of clip art or other premade images in my piecings. Happy Scrapping!

Fight Like A Girl...

Morning everyone! Today it's my turn to post some inspiration for our current challenge to keep you gal's creative juices flowing, as well as remind everyone of our mission...breast cancer awareness.

Breast Cancer Awareness Fact For Today...

Physical activity

Evidence is growing that physical activity in the form of exercise reduces breast cancer risk. The main question is how much exercise is needed. In one study from the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) as little as 1.25 to 2.5 hours per week of brisk walking reduced a woman's risk by 18%. Walking 10 hours a week reduced the risk a little more.

Mammograms are a Piece of Cake

There has been so much controversy about the importance of both self exams and yearly mammograms.

There have been those that say self exams are not necessary. I am here to tell you that it is very important to know your body! While doing a self exam I found a pea size lump which I had not felt before. This led to my calling for a mammogram and my diagnoses of breast cancer. Thankfully I found it early!!

I have also heard some say that Mammograms may not be necessary every year. Well, since early detection is the key to survival I believe you should get "the girls" checked every year. Some forms of cancer are very aggressive so time is of the essence.

There are also those that are afraid of the discomfort or are embarrassed, etc. Ladies, a few moments of discomfort and a little embarrassment are nothing compared with losing your life. If you haven't scheduled your mammogram this year, do it now!

Best Wishes

Hi, I am posting my weekly card for LINK UP FOR PINK because I feel it's for such a super fantastic cause.  The title of this card is Best Wishes because I wish everyone the best that is going through some phase of breast cancer.  So I hope you like my card because it's just for you.

The stamp set used was "ALL ABOUT HER", 'Moulin Divas Tre's Chic, and the image was colored with Copic markers, the flourishes were from the Spellbinders die set Floral Flourishes, the ribbon, paper, and stones are from Michael's that were bought at one point in time and therefore from my stash.

Well, that wraps it up for this week, I hope you come back to visit me on June 28th,  because I enjoy your visits tremendously.

But do visit daily to see all the gorgeous creations being made by the other Design Team Members.
